SPRING UPDATES

Good morning SANA Friends!

In our last newsletter we wrote about the workshops we were going to begin for our preschool and scholarship students.

   The preschool children have had a blast with their cooking and        nutrition workshops.  They made “chef” hats and took food 
   home to share with their families.

The scholarship children (ages 13-15) are enjoying a variety 
of workshops. Hopefully, this will help them find a way to earn 
a living and/or a career.

From candle stick making......

To balloons and festivity items (very popular in Guatemala).

From talking to the local police about staying safe and away 
from drugs …

To cosmetology.  This workshop has been hugely popular with 
female and male students!

Our healthcare clinic remains very busy.  This year we were asked 
 the Mayor of Santa Maria to start performing all of the yearly physical evaluations for the firemen, policemen, and staff.

Our library and tutoring resources are being used by over 
200 students each month!

THANKS to all of you for your on-going donations.  The funds 
allow us to do so much for the children and adults in Santa Maria.
